I have not used the Thermette versions of this chimney boiler, but do have two Kelly Kettles. They are really excellent devices, particularily for an emergency kit. I carry mine as part of my car and emergency communications kit. There is always plenty of dry enough waste wood to boil water.

One of the 10L sizes would be a great addition to my communications kit. Coffee and tea can really buck up an excercise or a disaster response.
