My daughter works in a sporting goods shop and just brought dear old Dad some free goodies she received from a sales representative for Niteize that look pretty cool and useful. They are called S-Biners and are made in stainless steel with either plain, spectrum titanium or black titanium finishes. She gave me a #2 in the spectrum titanium finish and a #3 in the plain stainless finish. They look well made and will likely purchase some additional units (depending upon the cost), when the store gets them in stock.

wish we had an idea of cost.

Looks handy, but I'd like to field test the various sizes for a month or two. Plain stainless for me...finishes scratch all to hell over time and just look bad. Too bad the one is just titanium finish and not titanium!

But wow...not much for load are they?

They look cool and useful. But it amuses me how much carabiners have taken over the simple snap link. Are carabiners really that much more useful or are they just more stylish?
