I EDC a pair of Wiley X SG-1s.

Ever since working in a machine shop, having a hot chip fly off of a piece I was cutting on an engine lathe only to fly over the top of my safety glasses and land in my eye, I've been deathly afraid of losing my vision. I was being careless then, looking over the top of the glasses, but I learned my lesson.

Since, I've had a number of things bounce off of the lenses of the Wiley's and their multitude of predecessors that could have done some serious damage.

So yeah, I'd agree wholeheartedly with the idea that safety glasses are good equipment to have around; not only as part of a BOB or PSK, but as an EDC item.
