Having read the messy PJ & cotton thread, I tried a cotton square with vaseline rubbed on one side, rolled up and taped with duct tape.

Success!

Large, wetfire size flame for about six minutes, smaller flame after that. Flame sustained itself in a breeze, unlike my attempt with the tin foil ravioli which kept blowing out. Total burn time close to eight minutes. It was larger and messier than the fire "candy" I made before. But has a longer burn time. Almost double.

I am trying to duplicate the 30 minute plus that others have managed with the fire "ravioli" and I just haven't even been close to that.

My next attempt will be to add wax covered cedar shavings into the roll like I did in the fire "candy."

More with pictures after I try hopefully this weekend. If you beat me to it, please post pictures.
