I've watched those videos, before. They're pretty good. My favorite part was when he lost his ferrocerium rod, then looked for and broke off a piece of quartz, then lit his fire from a spark by striking his knife with the quartz. Then he used that fire to heat a stone, and used the stone to boil water in a plastic shopping bag.

Worth watching.
