My fleece jacket is coming to end of life. I will be replacing it soon. I wanted something with more zippered pockets.

This is the closest i found:

Anyone have any comments on this or other options?

i had zippers added to the pockets of an LL Bean zip
up hooded jacket and found that worked just fine for
a lot less $$$$..i use it on canoe trips and the zip pockets
keep the Bic and Swiss army knife handy..

Check out TadGear
They aren't cheap, but they aren't "cheap" either.

Check out Cabela's ,they have a Polartec 300 polar weight ECWCS fleece that is about $80.00. It has nylon shoulder and elbow areas,2 side zip pockets and two inside pockets, adjustable cuffs and is warm as can be.

Second that, I have one that was issued (NSN 8415-01-461-8341) and I love it. It is now my civilian coat as well, that's how much I liked itl

You might look for one that's reversible. What I've found that's good for all four seasons is a shell with a zip in, reversible liner. It's a nylon(?) shell with a fleece & some other material liner. The liner reverses to put the fleece inside or outside & has four pockets. Combined the system has a total of six pockets. The other material works as a good windbreaker with the fleece on the inside. Zipped into the shell makes it a warm winter jacket. It's even warmer wearing them layered like they were zipped together but as two separate layers. The shell alone is a good rain/cool spring jacket.

Thanks for the good ideas. I also checked out campmor.com and they also had a large selection. I am going to check into having my zippers repaired on my current jacket. (that sounds like the cheapest rout).

It is amazing adding a few pockets with zippers and zip pits = 4X the price of jackets without....

I suggest something with a windstopper lining.

I've heard good things but haven't tried one for myself.
