Do you believe in power naps in the afternoon? Recent research study confirm previous hypothesis that power naps do help people to recharge their internal battery. I post the BBC news article of this study.

I'm an insomniac, so powernaps are a must.

Even if I skip the nap, I still only manage about 4 hours a night of sleep. I go to bed earlier, but wake up earlier as well, so I take the powernaps when I can get them. It's definitely refreshing.

Nope. No matter how little I sleep at night (like last night), and how tired I am during the day (like today), if I take a power nap I am assured of having a really hard time getting to sleep that night. I am a believer of powering on through the day...

I wish I could find a job that would allow that! A nap would be great.

Greetings! Become a towboater. You work 6 hrs on and 6 hrs (nap time) off. or 7 & 5 hrs or 8 & 4 hrs shifts. Personally, I find the 7 & 5 sked the best. Yes, I like my power naps!!!!

One thing for the youngsters here to look forward to is the fact that, for many people anyway, as you get older you require less sleep at night. Which is a good thing, considering all those trips to the potty in the middle of the night...

Nowdays I call it a good night if it has four hours of sleep. Usually I run like that for two weeks straight and then crash for seven blissful hours.

Absolutely. They got me through college, they are the only way I can explain why I barely passed Calc I, but somehow jumped a letter grade in Calc II. That doesn't happen, you're supposed to DROP a letter grade.

I still like it when I can actually have a lunch hour. Eat for 30 minutes, 20 minute nap. Makes me less likely to look at a user and say things like "ok, you screwed it up at your convinence; I'll be around to fix it at MY convinence."

A Canadian company, Inuit, adopted powernap as essential to worker health. I watch the CBC news which showed the company has 3 power nap rooms for its employees to take siesta.
