Better for what exactly?

I prefer the Pulse for it's lock system and size. The Wave has unique features that are excellent.

It depends on what you need it for.

You can access the knives without opening the tool with the Wave. I liked the pseudo liner lock mechanism also.

Everything locked on the Pulse. It has one or two fewer tools. Both are easy to use.

I was in brain lock on this same one for too long. In the end I found a brand new Wave at a gun show in a leather case for $50 (A great price), bought it, and never looked back.
