I thought long and hard before submitting this post. I realize that this board attracts the full gamut of survival fans; young and old, newbie and expert, amature and professional.

Accordingly, many of our members and visitors have limited financial resources and sometimes have to make due with gear that wouldn't be their first choice if money were no object. So, being at a place in my life where I am able to splurge for only the best, highest quality, cutting edge technology, survival gear, I was a little reluctant to post this topic and appear to "rub your noses" into the fact that I have the PSK that most of you can only dream of ever possessing.

Then I realized something, it would be selfish of me to keep something this amazing to myself, in fact I owe it to each one of you to set the standard of what a first class PSK should look like.

Sure, some of you may complain, "But Lasd02, you've set the bar too high, how can any of us choke down one more Altoid after comparing our measly kits to the PSK superstar that you have compiled?" To those I would reply, "Don't hate me because my PSK is superior to yours, try (as best you can), to emulate and learn from the vastness of my PSK knowledge."

It covers (of course), the 10 essentials. All contained in this waterproof, ripstop, fully insulated, mobile transportation unit:

The map:

The compass:

The Flashlight:

The Knife:

The Shelter:

The Fluid Delivery/Electrolyte replacement module:

The Fire making facet:

The communication element:

I can already hear some of the naysayers, "Ha, that's only 8 essentials you fool!" But that's OK, they laughed at Galileo as well. I'm working on acquiring the last 2 essentials and hope to have the lunch meat & polka components added to my kit before the spring Grunion run commences.

Thanks. An excellent kit which I hope will instill a sense of humility amongst certain members of our community.

I stand humbled.

Thank you Ironraven for the kind offer of supplying me with a new cold weather jacket (extra long sleeves...how'd you know?), to augment my cutting edge PSK, but being the ultra-prepared outdoorsperson that I am, I've already tested and analyzed all the latest sub-zero clothing systems and am anxiously awaiting Fedex to deliver my new outfit:

Just wait until your daughter finds out that you "borrowed" her backpack...you're going to be in big time trouble <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I disagree about the flashlight I think the Marathon Tactical Master is a much better option:

I have to say. When I first saw this PSK, I thought to myself "Who could assemble such superior gear into one pack as this genius has?" But upon further investigation, I must say that I was quite dissapointed by your omission of something that I personally think is a fatal mistake.

I was surprised that such an expert could make such a rookie mistake. I must say that i am VERY dissapointed.

A group buy! That's an excellent idea Old Scout! And I know just the establishment we can use as our distribution center, it's a place of the highest integrity and reputation, a real pillar of the community:

Once we receive your payment, your PSK components will be rush delivered to your door by the fastest means possible!

What joy you'll experience as you tear open the hermetically sealed
package of survival goodies, lovingly packed by our factory trained
technicians:

So hurry ETS fans! I can't guarantee this offer indefinitely, in fact
my last group buy was such a success, I had customers almost breaking down my door to get in on the deal!

(Sorry ladies, I've stopped working out and have put on more than a few pounds since this picture was taken, but I still have those boyish good looks!)
