err, my full gear is 36 pounds BEFORE any water goes in, and 17.6 pounds of water and 2lb boots puts that at 55/56 lb or so. the bin bags will be required today. put into perspective, i wiegh 130lb max, so kinda not good. though the biggest wieght would be droped quickly(12 2x6x1/2 inch mild steel plates for attaching my boat racks to the car roof). i will repost after i find a few more binbags to replace the ones i use.
