How about a little fun for all of us. Each person posts what they think is the most important survival item, that HASN'T been mentioned already. As this gets going and the usual items are taken, it should show some imagination that we can all learn from.

The only rules are:
1. One post per person
2. No derogatory comments about someone else's choice.

My choice - 32oz Nalgene full of water.

Ummm....may I suggest Doug Ritter? He comes equipped to survive!

Don't know how he would take to being stuffed in an Altoids tin though...probably have to be freeze dried, then we'll have to carry some water.... ;-)

Didn't see it so far so my rifle. Don't really go anywhere without one of my firearms. Atleast one of the up sides of being an LEO.

Plus worst case it lets me get what i need from sombody else that doesn't like guns. <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Just a regular ole' ball cap.

one obvious reason is for blocking the sun, but the main reason I like it is for keeping the rain and my poncho hood out of my eyes when it's pouring down rain...
