That other toilet paper can heater thread got me thinking about those Nuwick candles again. While not as major of a heat source as those toilet paper things, I'd think one or two of these in a stuck car would be a whole lot safer. Nothing (much) to spill that would risk setting your whole car on fire. A single candle can reportedly warm up a snow cave nicely, so maybe they'd do OK in a car.
Has anyone actually used any of these? Prices seem to vary all over the map, but I did find a few online places that had the 144 hour models for under $9 (can't remember the S&H though). I've yet to find any locally in the Denver metro area. I've checked a few outdoors and army surplus type stores with no luck.
