Has anyone had any luck making the Leatherman Tool PST modification (see the Leatherman gear review in ETS) to the WAVE file? It seems a shame to not be able to detatch the file and use it to sharpen the tool's own knife blade. I'm looking and looking at my WAVE, but hesitate to try. Doesn't look like a torx type fastener. My torx drivers won't budge it because of the post in the center.
Any suggestions.

Before taking your tool apart, try the file on another knife blade. I have found that some of the files on these tools will not work on hardened steel.

Ranger.
The older I get, The better I was.
