And since a budget shortfall from federal funding not being continued is affecting many counties in rural Oregon and California ("O&C funds") for 2007 onwards, Mr. Spencer Kim will be lucky to get a dime.

The irony is, if he does receive any monetary compensation from the local government agencies involved, it almost certainly will be depriving the already stretched SAR teams' budgets.

So he will essentially be making it harder for the next person to be rescued. What a swell guy...
