Congrats Blast! Enjoy all of the good times and fun you'll have.

P.S.
Isn't it fun to change those diapers faithfully when your turn comes? I didn't have a problem with it like some guys do. Like one cousin of mine stated: "It's your child, you love him, so its easy."

Congratulations, Blast! We were all looking forward to this moment!

They sure look cute together. Having a sister sure is great, and I'm glad Mini and Microwether can experience the joys of having a confidante, comrade-in-arms (and in-trouble!), and borrower of makeup/jewelry/clothes, right in the next room!

Beautiful Beautiful!!

Isn't being a father wonderful?!! Keep that camera clicking. My kids are 10 & 11. Though our minds find it hard to think back to when our kids were tiny, the pictures prove they were and bring back a flood of great memories.

Congratulations

Thanks everyone! It was a heck of a trip, though much easier than when we went over for DD1. As for the chair in the picture, I have no idea what it was made of as it was in the Chinese Adoption Office. DD1 got to hold DD2 before I did (she is very good at getting what she wants!). Of course, DD1 was less than thrilled when she realized daddy sometimes had to carry DD2.

The whole family is still wiped out with jet-lag. Man, that's a killer, especially coupled with my insomnia. I haven't slept more than three hours in the last four days. On the plus side, the resulting hallucinations have been quite entertaining.

I'm used to everyone telling us how beautiful DD1 is but she's going to have stiff competition from DD2. I think my collection of knives and surplus military rifles should cool the nads of any boys who want to date them, though I also plan on following Benjamin's lead on raising wildcat girls who can handle themselves.

Even through the jet-lag, poopy diapers, screaming siblings and a lovely Chinese sinus infection I am smiling so hard my face hurts. I'll be putting a bunch of pictures and stories about the trip up on my blog but this'll take a few days.

-Blast

Blast,

You are doing a bang up job as a dad! Sort of pun...

Have you read "What A Difference A Daddy Makes" by Dr. Kevin Leman. Awesome book talking about the effects of a dad has on a daughter. My wife read it too and really liked it, as did her mom's club.

One of the universal truths (that I will probably get in trouble for posting here) is that men will never truly understand women. The books helps a bit. Spooky. Read if you dare!!

Congratulations! The girls are adorable and will certainly be breaking hearts in 16 years. God help the young men who come knocking on the door to take them out on their first date.
