I've probably already asked this before, but does anyone know of a source for curved, telescopic boxed similiar to what Cohglans uses in thier Pack II first aid kit? I've tried hunting and come up empty.

I bought an empty one (orange) about 20 years ago and used it for my first survival kit (fire, water purification) I'll find that kit one of these days just as I packed it years ago. When I do I'll change out the water pure tabs No idea who sold it.

Uhm... At first glance, those looked like something a little different.
The ones I'm looking for the telescoping yellow ones, taht are about an inch thick, about four or five inches wide, and are curved so you can carry them in the thigh pocket of utilities. Campmor used to carry them as "trail boxes", but they are no longer listed and I'm hoping to find a few.

Hey Tmpx, great link! I see that they have a store about 90 minutes from me. I guess I'll have to drive up there and drool on all their cool containers!

They are actually made by Coghlan's, and you can sometimes find them in Coghlan's displays. I got a couple from Campmor some time ago, myself, though I see that someone says they are no longer available. Another mail-order place here that might carry them is Don Gleason Camping; in Canada, maybe S.I.R or Winnipeg Fur Exchange.

I was at a BI Mart yesterday and I saw a cheapie first aid kit in small, slightly curved box. The split between the top and bottom of the box was a little lower than it's centerline, so I imagine it would telescope at least a little.
Hope this helps, Rio
