How expensive is expensive? Looks like you can buy it from them, but they tell you to contact a rep for price.

I just found a website that has it and ordered some. I had to register first, not a big deal. Getting the EX 2x2 and the regular 2x4 (you can cut it to smaller sizes).

The info on the website isn't clear... Are you supposed to apply traditional direct pressure to the gauze, or just slap it on and it sticks there and extrudes into the wound as it swells?

I like the idea of this product a lot better than QuikClot. Seems like a safer approach.

I could see slapping one of these over a bad cut and then applying one of the First Care Emergency Bandages over the top.

Also sounds like they should be pretty small and fit nicely in most FAKs. Heck, a 2x2 might even fit in an Altoids based kit.

Does anyone have any experience with Traumadex? This is another blood clot enhancer. It's a powder that you sprinkle into the wound. it's not supposed to heat up as I understand Quikclot does.

AquaBlox had a booth at a recent storm product show in West Palm Beach. They have a depo near me and I plan on purchasing a couple of cases soon. They advertise long shelf life and easy storage. Seems to me the biggest downside on a product like this will be expensive shipping.
