"Join us for an evening with Tony Nester, founder of the Ancient Pathways, a wilderness skills company specializing in desert survival and primitive technology. Tony will cover the basic principles in tracking animals, covering topics such as: Track I.D., Track Interpretation, Gait Patterns, Following Tracks over Uneven Surfaces, and Scat Analysis.

Tony Nester, who has over 15 years of experience teaching outdoor survival and guiding wilderness trips, began the Ancient Pathways in 1989. Tony has instructed survival courses for the U.S. Military, National Park Service, USDA, and for private corporations. He is also on the adjunct faculty at Northern Arizona University where he teaches outdoor survival and primitive technology courses. His main area of focus is the southwest and he has survival experience in the Mojave, Sonoran, and Great Basin Deserts of North America. Tony has been featured on NBC News, the Travel Channel, and in Outside Magazine. He is the author of two books on outdoor survival and is also a well published writer in numerous magazines such as Wilderness Way, Backhome, Popular Woodworking, and Backwoodsman."
