Wow, those are pretty old, assuming 3/95 is the expiration date. Well, even if it were the manufacture date, that's still old. I'm not familiar with the particular rations you're talking about. However, they probably won't make you sick since there's no way for bacteria to get in, but their taste, texture, and nutritional content can no longer be assured. The conditions they were stored in could make a huge difference in how edible they are now.

They will fill your stomach, but I personally wouldn't want to take such a gamble. If you do get into a jam, discovering that your emergency food tastes funny or is otherwise objectionable is definitely not good for morale. Well, it's better than eating worms and grubs, I guess. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I've eaten MREs from the early 80s. Some were pretty atrocious, but most were still edible. So, figure, 20 years on the outside... stored in cardboard box out in the garage.
