i thought you could check it in, if not you can always sent it by mail or buy at the location and wenn you leave give it so a friend or sent it back by mail or whatever.

Yes you can check them in. Just don't do it at the last moment at the ticket counter and stash it in one of the outside pockets. I did just that with my leatherman and it was stolen. Now whenever I travel I put mu knives and leatherman deep into my check in bag. <br><br>Matt

I've generally found that using FedEx or DHL works fine for shipping ahead if you don't have checked baggage. <br><br>When I do check a bag, it has my small folder and a multitool packed in the back bottom, usually bundled up in a handkerchief.
