Shoe polish V saddle wax
For me the days of using shoe polish are over. These days I use saddle wax to keep my leather boots in excellent condition.
Three years ago my father (a keen horse rider) suggested using it. After the 1st time applied I already noticed the difference, my feet felt more comfortable in them because the leather became more flexible and the boots also became more waterproof than before. The more I used it the more my boots improved.
I couldn’t tell you an exact price but compared to shoe polish its quite a bit cheaper.
Below is a guide of how I use it.

1) get all the mud and dirt of by using a old horse (dandy) brush. These work very well as they have quite rough hairs.
2) Using saddle SOAP get the last bits of dirt off (as where there is dirt wax can’t come, so the boot starts to rot in these places first)
3) Once done that apply the saddle wax with a standard paint brush (I’ll let you make up your own mind about the size of the brush you want to use) make sure you get into all those corners, especially by the bottom of where the laces end on the inside.
4) Repeat stage 3 by letting the boot dry naturally then applying it again until the boots won’t take in any more.
Try and do this to your boots every time when you used them (looking after you boots is looking after your feet is looking after your transport). YOU WILL NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE

Reinhardt
