It sounds to me like you experienced a real life DRILL ! Congratulations for doing everything right !
It's like going into combat the first time, first thing that you realize is that the firefight/battle has ended. Then you realize that you're still alive ! Then you realize that you do have what it takes to be in combat and stay alive ! THEN your nose sniffs deep and you want to slink away and clean yourself up !
Your experience is much better than the combat experience, come to think of it!!!
