In my thigh pocket, I won't carry anything bigger than an X-Large orange heavy-duty garbage bag (for shelter). I carry a strong 6' x 10' tarp in my backpack only when hiking/snowshoeing, but on my person, the orange bag.

The point of the exercise is the size of storage space not what the storage area actually is. I came up with the cargo pocket just as an example, if you have a bag of similar size then it is the same thing. Admitedly I do not have the 25' tarp but I can see that being larger than I had originally planned. Just go with it, sheesh
Yeah, after reading that l'll just keep my thoughts to myself for sure.
