Does anyone have a preference for the color of their 550 paracord for a BOB?
Any reasons why?
My thought is it should probably be of brighter color for maximum visibility.

I am curious why people prefer the high visibility orange. Is there a specific benefit to the high visibility?

I prefer orange. I guess some camo-dude survivalists might not like it. High visibility cordage means it can be spotted easier, plain and simple. Have a knife lanyard made with it? Find your knife easier in hard-to-see conditions. Anything you use it for or on can be spotted easier. Anything lashed to a tree strung across your little campsite or whatever that you don't want to run into? Nice to hear from you Boacrow, any time-elapsed pics of a shelter you want to show us?

At the moment, Mine's black. Only reason for that is that I needed (ok, wanted ) some right this second, and the store only had black. I like orange though. Nothing screams "COME AND GET ME" quite like day-glo orange.
Well, ok, maybe a PLB does a better job of screaming....

Orange, unless I'm bowhunting. Then it's black.
