To all,

I love Thanksgiving. It has all the warm fuzzies of Christmas but without the stress (and I'm the cook!). It's good to have a day where you take stock of the good things in your life and focus only on them. One thing I'm very thankful for is this group. Y'all are an amazing bunch of people and I'm honored to be able to hang with you. You have no idea how much better my life and the lives of my family are due to y'all. Thank you for being my teachers!!

Peace, goodwill and thanks
-Blast

Ditto for me, Blast! Very thankful for family and the Good 'Ol USA! This year my gift giving will reflect what I've learned on this forum: nephews will receive maglights, sister will be getting solar, crank, etc radio/light combo, and I will get myself a good dutch oven!

Good on ya Blast. I loved cooking for the family at Thanksgiving and Christmas time. It's coming on two years now that I've been away from my girls, and I will miss Thanksgiving with them this year. It hurts, more than I thought it would, but I celebrated Thanksgiving here in Brisbane with a few co-workers. We went to a restaurant and ate Kangaroo meat and beetroot, which was better than I thought, but nothing like Turkey and mashed taters and gravy and stuffing. We then went across the street to the pub and had a couple rounds of Kilkenny's on tap.

This is perhaps one of the toughest Thanksgivings I've known, but I am still thankful. I give thanks for a healthy family, the ability to provide for them, for the opportunity to make this world better, and for being able to share with such a fine bunch of folks as y'all.

Now excuse me please while I go wipe my eyes. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
