I am not too sure if this is the right place for this, but I need to know. I am here in Alaska and quite often I am in areas where the only medical help is what little I know. I know enough not to be a danger to myself or others, so I feel like I could treat most outback injuries and such including bear attack trauma within reason. i am wondering how to get maybe some pain meds in small injectable mode and other products like adrenaline to keep a person functioning to get out and get to a heli drop or other pickup area. I assure anyone that reads this that I am a career Air Force tech Sergeant and not some sort of drug seeking freak. I just want a few items for my survival kit that will better prepare me and my hunting partners for the eventuality of a serious injury. Thanks for any responses.

I would take your problem to a doctor or to a clinic that deal with people that go on expeditions, etc. We have what you could call "traveller's clinics" around here, I don't know if they can help but that would be a good place to start.

I had Cipro prescribed for me, a large-spectrum antibiotic to treat various infections. However, I don't know if they can give you things like adrenaline and such. Those are medications that must be provided by medical personnel only.

I'm a well-trained first-aid but I cannot administer any drugs by the law.

You may want to check out this web site:

OceanMedix

or check with an area doctor.

Interesting site...thanks.
I understand the nursing or injection rules and all that, but in the military, we have those chemical auto injector kits in case of chemical attack. I don't see my needs as any different. Any other info appreciated.

Well, I figure that just about everyone should take some basic first aid and maybe cpr. But if you're outside a lot, either just a very active sportsman or a guide of some sort, it could be worth looking into a Wilderness First Responder course. There's a ton of good info in a class like that. In many ways it's almost an EMT, but more wilderness/slow response kind of things. You still don't get to play with anything other than OTC drugs. But as others have said, keeping a stock from past prescriptions, if possible, is a nice and easy idea. Keep a buddy just alive for a day or so while your PLB calls in the airlift.
