This is one of those questions that I think I know the answer to, but I'll ask anyway.
About a year ago, I got my wife her first piece of EDC/prep equipment...a Leatherman Juice, which she keeps in her purse. I also set her up with some Shout wipes, and basic FAK, then later added a Micra and DR Photon to her keychain.
The other night I asked her, "Do you ever use the things I've stashed in your purse and on your keychain?" Her reply, sadly, was "Not really".
So I'm thinking I have other places I could use those items...so do I leave them where they are, in the event she would want/need to use them, I do I put them to use in my own kits?

I would leave it with her. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I sometimes tease her about being the "anti-Ors" because she seems to reject ideas or pursuits I have, just because they are mine! She could use some of that religion <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Leave the stuff with her for two reasons:
1) If she needs it, she may REALLY need it.
2) Taking gifts back is tacky.
And if she really needs it only one important time, she's walking through the doors of the CoP.

I guess your choice now depends on the reason why you gave it to her in the first place. Was it with the intent that it would be used on a regular basis, or more as an emergency preparedness implement? If it was intended for everyday use, I'd say for most women such items are likely not to be utilized as intended. These are simply not a class of implements that most women are going to have need of regularly. Unless you expected a lifestyle change that would alter her present daily mode of operation, I would not give my wife such items except for emergency use, which is going to be rare, hopefully.

Leave it where it is......there will be a day when she needs it (or maybe someone she is with will need it). When that day comes then it will be invaluable. It may also lead to the, "You know about that stuff you gave me.....what else can it do....." That is when she truly converts.....to wanting to know....

If she's still carrying them leave them where they are. Since she's your wife, chances are you'll be with her when the balloon goes up, and you can get them off her then if you need to. Until then let her carry the weight.

I agree with Angel, better to have the stuff and not need it than be SOL when the time comes. Since she's (your wife) not commenting on carrying the stuff seems that she doesn't mind.
