"...o crap the majority of stuff in my bag would be soaked.."

"...i would say every bit of my gear in my bob is waterproof in some way..."

I'm kind of confused here...

haha yes i should of made that clearer. when i said the majority of my stuff would get wet what i mean is that the extra clothes and even the waterproof stuff will still be wet and i dont want to take all the componets out to dry(like my tools, and spare clothes),it would be alot of hassle.and i wouldnt wanna drag a wet bag around all day.

when i said my gear in my bob is waterproof what i mean is that it will take punishment from water and be ok but be completly sumerged in water could be a bad thing....plus i wouldnt want to take any chances of gear getting wet in any way.

Personaly I'd rather have a pack made of material that will last a LONG LONG time than something like those dry packs that are more prone to ripping, sun hardening, etc.

I really like the maxpedition pack I have made of " 1000-Denier water and abrasion resistant light-weight ballistic nylon fabric. "
Full details:
&#9670; 1000-Denier water and abrasion resistant light-weight ballistic nylon fabric.
&#9670; Teflon® fabric protector for grime resistance and easy maintenance.
&#9670; High tensile strength composite nylon thread (stronger than ordinary industry standard nylon thread)
&#9670; #AS-100 high grade closed-cell foam padding material for superior shock protection.
&#9670; High tensile strength nylon webbing.
&#9670; YKK #10 high strength zippers and zipper tracks.
&#9670; UTX-Duraflex nylon buckles for low sound closures.

How cold, freezing with ice and snow conditions or just like a little above 0 ?C (32 ?F to 41 ?F)? and do you have a comprehensive list of your items in your BOB and maybe some cool pictures <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ?

Well Frankie it gets quite cold up here, i dont have stats and weather alamanacs but ill say that it gets darn cold up here.

and your in luck, just recently ive been taking stock of all my componets in my BOB, and pictures, there is a strong possibility i can do that. i have to set it up right though or else the pictures will look bad, so ill try to do that.

Consider upgrading to something like a Thermo-Lite emergency bivvy sack by AMK. Its light and can serve both as a wind shelter and a tent.
