Makes you wonder if Amazon has some financial interest in the Discovery network.

I'm sure they do. Amazon is a genius at getting you to spend your money. When I go to their site, they always have "recommendations" based upon what I've bought/looked at in the past. This is one of the few cases where I actually appreciate advertising, because their algorythm always brings up something that I'm interested in.

As to Discovery Channel, they no doubt have a paid relationship.
