I got word from Les Stroud today, season 2 of Survivorman is in production. Les is going to some more exotic places, Amazon, Africa, Australia... Should be more excellent information and educational entertainment. First show should air in late February '07.

I also see that the "Bear" something-or-other character is doing a survival show now. He had a special earlier in the year that featured him jumping into rivers and generally violating common sense and every survival principal put forth. More entertainment value than educational value.

I was psyched to get the email about Survivorman's second season this morning.

Apparently Les plans to do a live journal updates to his blog while he's out on location this time. I hope he's found some lighter camera gear to make up for the extra weight. Eh... survivor man is awesome but i never got to see more than 2 episodes <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. hopefully for christmas ill get the dvd of the show.

Reason the forum was shut down was because there were some not so nice posts from some not so nice people that were posted. Since it was a wide open format and anyone could post anything, there is always some jerk that will defy common sense and good manners. The word is if Les can have the site moderated somehow in the future, it may be back. Cheers!

I never got on the forum myself, so I dunno. That was what Les said a few weeks ago, it was posted on his site. Not there now, was a few weeks ago.
