My usual winter outdoor boots are Goretex lined and Thinsulate insulated, so they pretty much keep my tootsies warm.

Since you lose a ton of heat out of the top of your head ('specially those of us with no natural insulation up there), I wear either a wool watch cap (tried the non-wool ones and found that they don't work as well), or my old "trooper" cold weather cap (you know, the Sgt. Preston of the NW Mounted Police one with ear flaps).

My hands are either in a pair of GI nomex flying gloves (they are warmer than you would think), or some "ski gloves" I picked up somewhere.

For the old bod, I have several different brands of insulated underwear, all seem to work about equally.

When inside I have a very loving wife...
