If a thread asking for input to gear is almost 3 years old, and the poster hasn't posted in two, what are the odds they are still sitting before their monitor for replies like a W W 2 japanese soldier holdout for the Imperial Fleet <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Chris -- good point, but perhaps the rest of us can learn from the response. The whole point ( besides showing off your nifty toys) of posting your prep lists is to have a few like minds review your thinking and suggest better choices and highlight ommisions.

FWIW, while obviously you should make sure your post is appropriate, In general, I prefer people to bump old threads instead of create new ones. I'd rather have one comprehensive thread than a dozen spotty ones.

While a reply to a topic may be directed to the original poster, the information provided is for the benefit of all. We live in an age of information and change. Yesteryday's news is old news.

If someone has a new spin on an old thread or relevant up-to-date information to share on a old topic, then I welcome it.

Post On!

Hallafreakinluya!
I know some new folks find threads that they want to be a part of; I have even done this myself in the past. But it is very annoying to see old threads bumping new ones. Especially when the old threads have become really old news for older members.
I think if you see an old thread and you MUST join in you start a new one and link it to the old one.
But it would be better if you try to start new and original threads so we are always learning and contributing.
