Longbow, I emailed the maker shortly after your post. My inquiry has gone unanswered. The first generation of this idea failed. They all claim to remove everything from water but moisture with a gallon capacity equalling the larger units. It would indeed be a nice addition, even if for a short term "throwawat" unit. I fear the only thing disposable is the investment. If I do get a reply I will pass along the information.
