" Hi all " As this is my first post on this forum, " yes I'm a newbie ", I will keep it as short as possible. Having said that, those of you who are interested in where I am coming from, should check out my " Bio " details. This will save me going into a lot of major explanation, as to why I'm so interested in the subject of " Survival " in all its various implications, be it Aviation, Marine, Fourwheel driving, etc...... As I indicated above, I'm from downunder, Australia, that large chunk of land a bit south of yourselves, down near the Antarctic. We have a vast continent, with not a lot of people in it. Our climate is much like that of yours, freezing cold ( no blizzards ), stinking hot ( much the same as you do). We share a similar Disaster situation as yourselves, in that we to have to contend with Survival in bushfires, ( you call them wildfires ). Unfortunately we do not have the same availability of huge emergency service infrastructures to cope with our major diasaster situations, nor do we have access to much of the survival equipment as you over in the US have access to. Anyway I promised to keep it short, so I will end this post here.
