I just switched from my LM Super tool that I carried for 8 years to the new LM Wave. I found I was using the blades a lot more and really wanted to be able to open them with one hand. My wife prefers that I use the scissors to cut things like wristbands and such off of the kids instead of a knife blade.

Wave is really nice. I took it on my hiking trip to the top of Mt. Whitney. Used it repeatedly to cut things and on one occasion to repair my portable stove.
Its a very useful tool, unfortunately a bit on the heavy side.

I'll vote for the Wave

I upgraded from a plain leatherman to the Wave six years ago. I wear it nearly every day on my belt, except to the office. I have a SOG that stays in my briefcase for the office. The reason the SOG is in the briefcase and the Leatherman is at home, is because I use a multi-tool about once a year in the office, but nearly everyday at home, ie: I don't care much for the SOG. I know there are some on this forum that dislike Leatherman, but I love my Wave.
