What basic supplies would somebody just need to have to even begin to think about surviving in that environment long term? (Ugh) oh yeah, and (Brrr) too. This question might open up a can of frozen worms.

Like the story says, the "basic supply" you need most is a Inuit guide. There is no way any of us would survive for any lenght of time. It's as close to living on the summit of Everest or living on the Moon as you can get !!!

I trained in the North with the Armed Forces and seeing an Inu stick his bare hand in the cold Arctic Ocean in -40 temp without any loss of dexterity while I'm standing there with mits on and frozen fingers !!!
