It's not my day job, but I've served almost a dozen volunteer disaster relief roles with: Red Cross, Salvation Army, ARES / RACES, county emergency management, UMCOR, and CERT. They're a nice healthy outlet for all that obsessive-compulsive survivalist thinking.
