I've never *used* the shotshells, the plan is to use them for snakes, squirrels, etc. As I understand it, the pattern after a few feet is not reliable, so birds are probably not a dependable target. The handgun shotshells are definitely not a replacement for a shotgun, the tradeoff is weight.

I got CCI shotshells at a gun show recently. The guy had multiple calibers for sale.
