Opinions are like butts, butt here is my take on the Seal Pup again anyway: I have owned one since the late '90s. I wish I never bought it. It would be a good combat knife for me. Period. My Seal Pup is partially serrated, has the original Kydex sheath that can be mounted a million different ways. Don't get me wrong, its a great blade, just not for what I want a blade for. The blade is too thick for me. It is too thick to hold a good razor edge like I want it to. It has a clip point which is not as useful for overall utility as a drop point. For the length of the knife overall you don't get as much cutting edge as I would like, either, even if I had one of the newer models that were not serrated.. It is super-robust and superbly built though, great metal. For what the knife is meant to be used for it is great. I just keep mine stored away at home and never use it. If this kind of blade works for you, it is a top quality blade.
