I will be leaving Friday for my annual trip to Ecuador. The trip will consist of providing instruction in disaster preparation (Civil Defense and Red Cross), first aid, technical rescue techniques (rural fire department) and direct patient care. I know there have been several threads on what can be carried on a plane. Since this is my first air trip post 9/11, I was wondering if anyone had any problems with luggage that was checked? As I will be carrying a sizable amount of medical equipment/supplies, I really do not want to open up the bags if at all possible. Also, has anyone had any problems with carry on items that are suppose to be okay, i.e. flashlights whistles? Thanks Pete
