Here's my latest idea: get a aa battery recharger ($10) and an adapter for ac/dc with 1-2 plugs. Now you can recharge anywhere!

Don't even need the DC/AC stuff, there are a couple battery chargers which will plug into a vehicle power port and charge straight from DC.

I'd suggest the Energizer 15 minute charger, which can run directly from 12 volts, and which is fast.
