Rest assured that you won't find anything but a convex on a BRKT. I even have a BRKT Scandi proto with a convex...

My only observation is I can buy a few Moras and a whole bunch of other stuff with change left over. ...But you can't buy the BRKT heat treatment or handle availability/selection unless you buy BRKT... M

Any differences in how you, the user, sharpen it? I've heard some grumbles in other places about that, but if it water stone friendly, it should be interesting to see.

A picture of the Bark River PSK knife and sheath in a PSK made out of a NRA survival kit box! Note the Bark River PSK was designed to fit in a Otter 2000 Box. Note there is fishing line under the 550 cord wrap on the Sharpshooter kndex sheath..

Do like I did. Repack a Ritter PSP. Add more bits to it. Lighter, 2xPolybag, BCB wire saw, Ferronium Rod, 12xMP1 tablets, More fishing gear, Photon light. Several more bits of tinder. With a little bit of thorght you can build a top notch survival kit. That one goes in my bag. I have a boosted RSP in my pocket as well. One survival kit? You jest squire........

Hi Leigh Thanks for your input! The kit in the photo is a friends personal PSK. I've done what you did, and added more to the AMK kit, many of the same items, minus the lighter. I did toss the fishing line and added 75 feet of 10# line, and more hooks, swivels, shot. I've also added a Alox SAK classic with a very much sharpened blade or a Bark River specially modified Mikro Slither (called a Nano Slither), I am not a fan of bare scalpel blades. It's almost amazing what you can fit in the AMK kit if you think it out, and spend the time to pack it. Hint, chopsticks are a great aid to repacking the AMK kit when adding more gear. Mine has a orange duct and electrical tape wrap on the outside, in place of the duct tape inside.. Yes, you lose some flexibility of the pouch, but it adds more gear room. I have a modified AMK kit, a small additional gear pouch, LED flashlight, a good Multi-tool along with a built up FAK in each door pocket of my Yukon.. I must own 10 of the well modified AMK kits!
