Looks like it will fit into the BCB tin as well, at least diagonally. Isn't "12c27 Stainless" the same steel as the stainless Moras?

Yes it is the same steel. But the heat treat Bark River gives it makes it a superior steel in the end.

I like my stainless Moras a lot, so if the heat treat is superior then so much the better.

BRKT's are very nice knives - Customer service and their warranty are outstanding. I think the only exception to the warranty is if the knife is destroyed by wild badgers. I'm not sure about domesticated badgers.

As far as I know, there are no exemptions for domesticated badgers... So keep them away from your knives...
BTW... I think that you are safe if you destroy the knife while using is ON badgers, so no problems in that area.

12c27 stainless is what 'Mora' uses. It is oftentimes called 'sandvik steel' when produced by the mills to the various knife maker's specs. Remember, Mora is a place, not a brand name. The Bark Rriver looks like a nice knife- but what Bark River isn't? My only observation is I can buy a few Moras and a whole bunch of other stuff with change left over.

Good point. All of my "Moras" are made by Frosts of Sweden. The PSK looks like a nice knife, but I think I'll wait for the Doug Ritter ETS version....

The Bark River "PSK" knife and sheath are designed to fit in a Otter Box 2000 or in a NRA kit box. The link has pictures with the "PSK" knife in a NRA kit box.

The sheath is designed to hold fishing line under the 550 cord wrap.
