Jungle sounds the same as his other book, Back From Tuichi. I found Back From Tuichi to be a slow read.

aloha, thank you for that. i didn't realize he's published his story under at least three different titles. i found this one - jungle - to be exciting and not a slow read. perhaps he's found an editor to liven things up. thanks again.

My library says it version of "Back from Tuchi" was published in 1993 by Random House, & translated from the Hebrew by the Yael Politis & Stanley Young.

It says about Jungle": "First published in Hebrew in 1985 by Zmora-Bitan Publishers, Tel Aviv, Israel; first published in English by Random House, Inc., New York, and simultaneously in Canada by Random House of Canada Limited, Toronto; English translation by Yael Politis and Stanley Young; published in Australia in 1999 by Pan Macmillan Austrail Pty Limited, Sydney, Australia."

So it looks like the same book with different titles. I guess if it grabs you, fine, and if it doesn't...

Yossi's story is one of the episodes from the series "I Shouldn't Be Alive" on the Discovery Channel. The link has some video clips from that episode, which I thought was pretty good. I didn't know he had written a book, but since the show mentions that he became a motivational speaker it is no surprise.
