I recently got a SanDisk Titanium Cruzer flash drive that has a small split ring on it for attaching to a key chain. I've only removed it from my keychain a couple of times, but I'm realizing that the split ring on the Cruzer is very flimsy. I'd rather have something more durable, like the ring that is on my Arc AAA. Does anyone know where I can get very small split rings that are durable like the Arc?
I've tried my local hobby shop in the jewelery section, but the rings they have are like the one on the Cruzer now.

i've found them in two places - sporting goods stores that carry the split rings for deep sea lures, and in the big box home stores - home depot, lowes - in the hardware section in the bins that contain other small parts and pieces like small rubber grommets, nylon automotive clips, the really odd stuff..
good luck!

As mentioned before, Lowes, Home Depot, or Ace. Recently though I found a lot of different sizes and colors in packages ranging from 10 to 50 at the local Arts and Crafts Store for $1.00 to $2.00 (if I remember correctly).

Actually, try the smaller hardware stores (TrueValue, Ace, Aubechons, et al), they have a better selection of this kind of thing that the big boxes. Look in the bins where you can buy the strange stuff, like small springs, one (1) washer, nylon spacers, hex and torx keys, that kind of thing. Around here, I pay 50 cents for a 3 pack of 1/2 inch split rings, IIRC, and they are in the green section of the drawers (you'll understand when you see them, if you have the same vendor in your area). And they are heavy duty, steel split rings, I use them on my flash drives and for single keys.
Great stuff in those bins. Be careful when you browse, or you might have a lot more than you thought you would when you walk out. :P

Almost any sporting goods store that carries fishing equipment. Look where the hooks, ets are, you should find a couple of sizes of high quality spilt rings...
