Randy,
A very nice review. The Becker line seems like a great value. The steel is identical to CarbonV (Cammilus is the OEM for CS carbon steel knives). I have quite a bit of experience with this steel and it is excellent.

Stay sharp,
Chad

Thanks Chad,

I did this review a while back and have not changed my views. Still perfecting the Tin contents in the sheath though!

I see Becker now has a 5" model out, but have not seen it yet.

It still surprises me that a 7" knife is so easy to use. The thinner than normal steel for this category of knife, the flat grind, again abnormal for this category of knife, and the decent handle materials all contribute to a good overall big knife package.

This plus a decent SAK are currently in my EDC bag.

Thanks again for the comments and it was good to see this old thread pop up again.

Trusbx,

Yes. I made it out of 3 inch wide nylon strap, a couple of 12 inch zippers, some eyelets and velcro. Useable space is 12 inches by 3 inches by 1+ inch. Packing it to 1 inch keeps it flat but you could stuff to 2 inches thick but looks and feels odd.

Now I carry 2 space blankets, 1 space bag, 2 trash bags, 2 kleenex pocket packs, duct tape, and a sling shot. Only the kleenex has been vaccum packed so far. Its still a project in progress.

Any interest in the sling shot can see it Here

Here is a page with other PSK's that folks have set up around their BK-7's.

What is the cheapest price on a CU7 I found one for $43.00.
Is that a good Buy?

Yes, thats the cheapest I have ever seen it. It runs between $50-$75 not including tax and shipping normally.

Mike

Great knife for the price BTW.

Try BKCG, go to the online brochure and select the Camillus page.
