Gentlemen,

Been gone for a while, so I have a lot of catching up to do, but I have a couple of Tip's for you......
For those who have synthetic sleeping bag's and prefer to hang them, to keep their loft.....cut a piece of 3 inch PVC pipe as wide as the bag. Sand the edges on both ends round and smooth, to keep them from wearing through the Cord. Take a piece of 550 Cord and run it through the Pipe, and bring the 2 ends together to form a triangle. Put a loop in one end, and add a short toggle to the other. Hang your bag in half over the pipe, put the Toggle through the Loop on the other end of the cord. Slip a large garbage bag over the top and make a small hole in the middle of the bottom of the garbage bag. Seal up the open end with duct tape. You can now hang your bag by hooking the Loop & Toggle over the Clothes Bar in your closet or where ever you like! Jut by simply using the Toggle and Loop! Cost...Nothing...had it all laying around the Garage!

Why do you have to seal the bottom? Wouldn't it be better to leave it open? Dust mostly floats down.

They should definitely be allowed to "breathe," especially where down bags are concerned.

A cover made out of an old cotton bed sheet sewn into a bag and tied on the end would work. You could even get really swank and add a drawstring to the bottom.

That's a great idea though Krell.

Depending on the particulate matter (sorry, too many hours at the nukes, that's dust to most of you), and the degree of temperature change, it might actually drift up on rising air currents, but you're probably not gonna have that problem in an indoor closet... in the garage... maybe <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />.
