Hi, I was thinking of buying a Maxpedition Proteus for my EDC when I'm on expeditions. Does anybody out there own one? Are you satisfied with it? Has anybody written a review of the pack?? Anything helps,

I really like mine. I use it to EDC what usually goes in my cargo pockets and on my belt when I don't have a belt or pockets.

I like the Versapack quality to it, because I can stow the belt when I don't feel like using it. It is just the right size for what I use it for, and built like a tank.

I have a Grimloc carabiner on too, which has come in handy.

I think you'll be happy with the quality.

I was so impressed with the quality that I bought a Max Devildog for when I need a bigger EDC bag.

So would this be under the catergory of a DAY PACK? Or a BackPack?

Itwould be considered a daypack I would say. It has a 4,5 litter capacity i beleive.

But I would have SWORN it was at MOST 1.5L to 2.0L

I guess it is because it does not look like you could even fit a quart milk container in the thing... But it does seem to expand rather well... Strange...
