When I pulled my new Necker out of the box last night my first thought was: "wow, now that is dull!" I looked closer and found that whoever ground it only completed one side. <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> I went to Bladeforums and it turns out that QC might have become a bit shaky at Camillus since the strike began. After 1/2 hour on a stone and 1-1/2 hours on a Sharpmaker I now have it where I want it. All in all a very useful size, and not too heavy around the neck either. My only remaining complaint is that the sheath is too loose for me to completely trust dangling a blade around my neck. I'll try heating it up a bit and that will hopefully tighten it a little.
For anyone who is thinking of buying one, or for that matter anything else of recent manufacture from Camillus, you may want to have the seller pick one out and examine it before shipping it to you. If you can get a good one right off the bat they are a great value.
