It occured to me that there is no point in having the ultimate in waterproof match cases if the matches get wet between the cases and the fire. So I've dipped the strike anywhere matches in candle wax. I have also cut up a spark-lite tinder tab for padding between the matches and the striking surface.

I would suggest that you trade in your wax covered matches for ones covered in clear nail polish
you will find that the wax covered ones dont last as long as the nail polish covered ones before they wont light
